A woman is dead and two children are injured after a person suspected of driving under the influence drove down the wrong way of a freeway.

SHELTON, Conn. (WFSB) - Shelton Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Sunday. When crews arrived on Bridgeport Avenue around 5:30 p.m., they found a vehicle had rolled over and crashed into a utility pole. The driver of the car was trapped and unconscious, fire officials said.

A woman was killed and three other people, including two children, were injured after the driver of a pickup traveling the wrong way on Interstate 69 struck her vehicle, police said. Just before 3 a.m.
