The incident took place on Wednesday, when the homeless man, Lekhraj, 45, was hit by the car driven by Shivam Dubey, 28, near Barakhamba Radial Road. Dubey allegedly drove the car for around 10 metres with Lekhraj stuck under the car.

Shivam Dubey (28), the driver of the car, fled the spot after the incident, according to officials. However, he was arrested the next day as the police tracked him down with the help of CCTV footage
