HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) workers will vote on strike action following the dismissal of union representatives. The Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union said three elected reps at HMRC Benton Park View, Newcastle, were sacked earlier this year for "demanding fair pay, pensions and jobs".

Around 55,000 postal workers went on a strike Friday at 12:01 a.m. ET, according to the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW). The union says a strike came as a last resort following a year of bargaining with little progress.
