The Las Vegas Aces are hoping to become the first WNBA team to win three consecutive championships since the Houston Comets won four in row in the league’s first seasons. It’s a tall task, and when they began the season with a 6-6 record, it appeared unlikely, but with four Olympians and the best player in the world, they can never be counted out.

The Seattle Storm returns to the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) playoffs this month after missing out on the 2023 postseason. The franchise has won four WNBA titles over the years, but enters this year's playoffs with a new core and a difficult first-round matchup.

Following a 93-90 loss to the lowly Dallas Wings, which capped a post-Olympics skid where they lost three of five games, they went 9-1 to close the season. During that stretch, they were third in offensive rating (107.5), second in defensive rating (94.3) and had a league-best net rating (plus-13.2).
