Jannik Sinner hit the accelerator at the end of each set as he cruised past Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4 on Tuesday to close in on a semi-final spot at the ATP Finals in Turin.

In his most recent match on September 30, 2024, Sinner won 6-2, 7-6 over Jiri Lehecka in the quarterfinals of the China Open. In the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships (his last tournament), Fritz was taken down in the Round of 32 by No. 24-ranked Arthur Fils, 4-6, 6-3, 3-6.
